What is up with NBA superstars?

I’ve noticed a collective trend in the second playoff round. Some of the superstars are playing terrible or having uncharacteristic games. The question is why is this happening?

Dwyane Wade acted like a diva tonight after scoring only 5 points with 5 assists. He got into his coach’s face and flung his arm away when his fellow teammates tried to console him. In game 2 he shoved Darren Collison in the back. The respected leader seems to be acting more like a queen with each playoff game. Since when did calm, collected Wade turn into a bully?

Kobe Bryant is not my favorite player but I have always admired his work ethic and drive. He is a fantastic player who is often respected across the league. His game is so calculated and pristine but yesterday he made sloppy and silly mistakes that cost the game for his team.

Chris Paul. This man is usually terrific in the playoffs. He is a true leader in every form but he has played terribly average this playoff round against the Spurs. He scored 6 points in game 1 and 10 in game 2. He also rarely has turnovers and he had 8 in game 2. You can always depend on him to be clutch but he has been shot down this series.

These lackluster performances could be due to the fast-paced season that has exhausted/hurt many of the players in the league. I have no clue what the deal is but these players are just a few of the examples of wtf moments in the playoff series.

I realize that players can not be stellar every single night but they do get paid the big bucks to deliver. These three men are professionals and leaders so hopefully they can bounce back. I can overlook an off game or two. Just, please don’t let it happen again.

Stay classy Memphis.

Apparently, booing a player when they are hurt is all the rage in Memphis.

So, you don’t like Blake Griffin. That is completely fine but booing someone when they are holding their knee is low. I am a Clippers fan and I agree that their flopping is overkill but being happy about an injury is ridiculous.

Also, screaming “Chris Paul sucks” after he is taken out due to an intense groin injury is tasteless. These childish playground antics are a bit old, aren’t they?

Dark Opening Day

This is terrible news. I am not a big Bulls fan but it is so sad to see a player go down on the first day of the Playoffs and he will miss the Olympics. Geez, this shortened season is killing the players. Some teams have had double headers and even triple games in a row without time to rehabilitate/rest.

Rose is a tremendous athlete and I know he will recover. Bulls Fans don’t lose hope now. If anything, the Bulls should play harder out of respect for their pg. They still have so much talent/heart.

I wish you a speedy recovery D. Rose.

I love this. He looks so awkwarly cute with the goofy grin and tie. Also, he is 2 years older than me. Why does it look like this photo was taken in 2001?
